If you are seeking a pet, please consider adopting one of the many wonderful, older or senior dogs, who are abandoned by their family at a later stage in life and end up in shelters. Sadly, they are less likely to be adopted due to their age and, unfortunately, there are simply too many of them.
Older and senior pets often make great companions who can truly appreciate a new home, Best Friend, and a better life. Since they are past the puppy stage they often already come house-broken and trained and are mellowed out a little which can be a great benefit.
